Impact Test Bench for Automotive Steering
The test bench is applicable to a kind of electric power steering device’s worm gear and worm clearance test and reverse no-load test. The control system adopts the industrial computer to realize the automatic control of the test process and the automatic display, printing and real-time display of test results, and the evaluation and automatic preparation of test reports according to the given indexes.
The test bench adopts modular design, which is composed of working platform, tooling jig, output drive and lock part, worm drive part and control part. Start button is set on the front side of the device. It only needs to press the start button to finish the test automatically without manual intervention after the sample is placed.

Applications and benefits
● The control system adopts the industrial computer to control the test process and collect the data, and automatically completes the electric booster tube worm gear and worm clearance test and reverse no-load test.
● The output end XY shaft linkage control can realize automatic switch and connection of the output end deadlock and reverse control drive mechanism.
● The worm end of the sample piece is clamped by a pneumatic chuck which can be continuously rotated. The additional torque is small and the precision is high.
● The input drive end adopts the standard servo drive system, which can run accurately in the mode of speed, position, etc., and can carry out the dead circulation control according to the angle sensor.
