A fully automated production line still often depends on people. Not because the machines are not advanced enough, but because the space between workstations is still a gap.
Materials do not walk to the workstation. Semi-finished parts do not move from A to B by themselves. Anomalies do not report themselves. This is the “last mile” of factory automation.
KTS Industrial Systems has introduced a compound robot system to address this. It combines mobile bases, robotic arms, and perception systems into one embodied AI platform.

There are two models:
A quadruped composite robot for complex terrain: stairs, slopes, gravel, cable trays, thresholds. It can climb 15cm steps, adapt its gait at 500Hz, and operate a 6-axis arm with ±0.1mm precision.
A wheeled composite robot for standard production lines: humanoid dual arms on a high-payload AGV base, 8+ hours of runtime, and 40%+ efficiency improvement through dual-arm collaboration.
The system is open to MES, WMS, and ERP integration, customizable, and can be deployed in as little as 3 days.
The value is not just replacing labor. It is liberating people from repetitive logistics and inspection, so they can focus on more valuable creation.
